ROTATIONAL CONTROL IN ORTHODONTICS

 

  • 1) Vertical looped arch wires  plays a great role in
  •     rotating the central and lateral incisors .
  • (2) Rotating springs made of  0.014 “ wire
  •     provides a positive force and rotates all teeth .
  •     It establishes a two point contact between the
  •     tooth and the arch wire .

 

  • ROTATION  OF  SEVERELY ROTATED
  •        MOLAR TOOTH .
  •         There are occasions when the molars are so badly
  •         rotated , or when the bicuspids are so buccal or
  •         both , the arch wire engagement  in the molar tube
  •         is impossible . The procedure of  choice is to make a
  •         2 point contact between the distal end of the arch
  •          wire  and  the molar  tube.
